Zorro was bred by Me-He Miniatures who have bred several champions, and sold as a yearling to a driving trainer who trained him and competed in everything from Halter to Roadster with him for four years before he was sold to my friend Sarah of Elk Run Miniatures. I was in the market for a nice, trained driving gelding, and Sarah offered Zorro to me, so in January 2009, he came to High Meadow Miniatures.

Zorro has a fantastic personality, in fact he has no idea he is "just" a horse. He is always in your pocket, wanting attention and is very bold. He is very versatile and was shown in Halter, Obstacle, Pleasure Driving, Roadster, Hunter and Jumper! He always placed well, and took Grand Champion Country Pleasure Driving Gelding at a show at the Adams Country Fairgrounds. Zorro has a pretty face, with big soft brown eyes, a upright neck, short level topline, strong hip and long legs. He has incredible motion, just like his great grandsire, Rhotens Little Dandy. Zorro has great knee action, and a awesome extended trot, he looks like he is floating! He was born black, hence his name, and has gradually greyed out over the years. His sire was a black pinto, and his dam was a appaloosa, however Zorro is completely solid, with no markings or mottling.

His paternal grandsire NFC Dandy Diplomat was the 1994 National Champion Ladies Roadster Stallion, and a Reserve National Champion in open Roadster! He was sired by none other than Rhotens Little Dandy, a National Grand Champion in Pleasure Driving, and passed on his breath taking movement, Zorro is proof of that! Zorro's maternal grandsire Oasis Collections Almost Midnight was a sire of many champions, and a grandson of Reserve National Grand Champion - Shadow Oaks Paul Bunyan.
